Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ConnectQR collects and how it’s used. We keep it short because we collect as little as we can.

What we collect

Account data — your name and email, via our auth provider (Clerk). Relationship data — the contacts, events, notes, and touchpoints you create, including details people submit through your intake pages. Billing data — handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. Basic technical logs may be collected to keep the Service running.

How we use it

Free-tool access collects the email you enter, the tools you open, the page you came from, and timestamps in Convex. Email entry is not verified and does not create an account. Newsletter consent is recorded separately when you opt in; entering an email to use a tool alone does not subscribe you. Contact us below to unsubscribe or request removal of these records.

Free AI writing sends the details you supply to OpenAI to generate your draft. Avoid sensitive personal or confidential information. We do not add your access email to that writing request. Generated results and request identifiers are retained for up to 25 hours to handle retries; they are not automatically added to your ConnectQR account. The ROI calculator performs its calculations in your browser.

We also keep per-tool activity totals linked to your access email: tool selections and unlocks, successful AI generations, and browser-reported opens, copies, PDF exports, and calculator runs, with activity dates. Authorized administrators use these totals to understand which tools are useful. Activity tracking does not include your copied text, PDF content, or calculator inputs. Totals remain with your lead record; temporary event identifiers expire after approximately two days. You can contact us to request deletion of your records.

A signed browser cookie remembers tool access for up to 30 days. Vercel BotID checks browser signals for automated traffic. We use hashed browser, network address, and signed-in account identifiers to enforce quotas, alongside limits per access email and shared AI spending limits. These identify a browser session or account, not a verified physical device. Clearing cookies removes remembered access. Temporary access and quota records expire automatically.

In your current browser tab, we also remember the email you entered, your newsletter preference, and which tools you unlocked. This prefills forms and keeps your tool library convenient; server checks still control access. You can optionally unlock all free tools with one email submission. PDF exports are created in your browser from your edited output.

The Networking OS promise board stays in the current page unless you choose to save it on your device. That optional copy uses browser local storage and can be loaded by anyone using the same browser profile. Use “Forget saved board” to remove it. Board notes and referral scorecard answers are not uploaded. Scorecard-run totals are recorded as per-tool activity linked to your access email, as described above. Practice-lab drafts are sent to OpenAI when you request an AI review, under the free-tool writing retention described above.

If you choose the optional trial-bonus offer, we store your first and last name, phone number, the exact AI-call and text-message consent you signed, its version, the page, and timestamps. These details are separate from newsletter consent. We retain withdrawal and bonus-claim records so we can honor your choices and prevent duplicate trial extensions. You can withdraw permission from the tool page in the same browser or through our contact page. Withdrawing does not remove an already claimed bonus. Your phone number is entered without verification.

When you send us a message or request an event or partnership conversation, we collect the name, email, organization, message, event details, goals, and reply consent you submit. Authorized platform staff use these details to respond and track your request. This does not create an account or subscribe you to marketing emails. Contact us below to request removal of an inquiry.

Public website analytics record page views and interactions such as demo completion, video playback, pricing selections, and inquiry completion. Our custom events do not include your form answers, email, or private relationship notes. Practice introductions stay in the browser page and clear when you leave or reload it.

Solely to provide the Service: storing your CRM data, generating your QR and vCard, sending the AI features you trigger, and processing payments. We do not sell your data or the data of the contacts you collect.

If you collect contacts

When someone fills in one of your intake forms, you become the controller of their information and ConnectQR processes it on your behalf. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact them and for honoring their requests to access or delete their data.

Subprocessors

We rely on Convex (database/hosting), Vercel (website hosting and bot detection), Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), and AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) to deliver specific features. Each processes data only as needed to provide their part of the Service.

Your choices

You can export your data, clear your relationship data, or delete your account entirely from Settings at any time. Deleting your account cancels your subscription and erases your profile, events, and contacts.
