Sound familiar?

The conversation was good. Then life happened.

We all know someone who hears a problem and says, 'You should meet my friend.' Would you like to be that person? You do not need to know everyone. You need to remember a few people well enough to recognize when two of them could help each other.

What slips away with the follow-up

An introduction without a reason gives two strangers more work. An introduction you forget never gives them the chance. And sharing someone's details without asking spends trust you may not get back. Your reputation follows the introduction, so relevance and permission matter.

Put it into practice

A better next step

  1. Listen for a specific need

Ask who would be helpful to meet right now and why. 'Someone in finance' is hard to act on. 'A bookkeeper who works with small construction firms' gives you something to remember.

  2. Check the fit with your own knowledge

Review the context you saved in ConnectQR. Explain how you know each person and what makes this conversation useful. Do not imply you have vetted work you have never seen.

  3. Give both people a choice

Propose the introduction and wait for both people to accept. After they connect, check whether the introduction helped. A respectful decline is a good outcome when the timing is wrong.

Where ConnectQR fits

Keep the context. Make the connection.

ConnectQR combines private relationship memory with mutual Handshakes and double-opt-in introductions. Pro's second-degree discovery works through trusted brokers. Your private notes stay separate from the introduction, and an ordinary guest QR scan does not create a trusted network relationship.

A message you can adapt

Give them a reason to reply.

Jordan, I know a contractor who is looking for a bookkeeper familiar with project costs. You mentioned that kind of work is a fit. Would you be open to an introduction? I'll check with them too.

Illustrative wording. Replace it with the details and promises from your own conversation.
